Learning Support offers one-on-one and small group instruction for those students needing extra assistance with reading, including reading comprehension and fluency, as well as writing, and math skills.  École Mission Central has an Learning Support Teacher (LST) for the English population and a French LST for those in French Immersion.

Students who attend learning support receive instruction specific to their learning needs. The Learning Support Teacher is responsible for putting together a program that accommodates students' learning needs while making learning both fun and engaging.

Students who are part of the Learning Support Program come to the learning assistance room between 1-3 times a week for 15 to 30 minute blocks. Receiving one to one and small group instruction can be very beneficial for certain students who struggle within the classroom. Our LST teachers also provide in-class support within the classroom.
